Submitting To Everybody's Baby

Submissions are taken year-round, 24 hours a day at submit@everybodysbaby.org. You can thank the magical tubes that brought us together for this awesome feat. Publication happens once the child is mature enough to go out into the world on its own (when we have enough material).

What Can You Submit?

Anything! The first issue of Everybody's Baby will revolve around the ubiquitous fortune cookie. We (will eventually) have templates available for you to pass around. For designers we have INDD, for sketchers or writers, PDF. We also take submissions via RTF, JPG, or whatever other formats you prefer. (Note: Please contact staff if you are concerned about the print-readiness of your documents).

Art! Write! Interview! Espouse ideals! We welcome and encourage you.

Who Reviews Your Submissions?

Everybody's Baby is based on a community-oriented, collaborative revision model. So, when you submit a work, you are stating "I am open to the opinions of this community; I want to be part of this community."

Sometimes, in order to be published, the community will request specific changes be made to your work. You are always encouraged to defend your ideas and the execution methods you chose. While our staff does include a decision-making body, Everybody's Baby is ultimately an ongoing conversation on your work and the work of others.

More Well-Vetted Than Some Political Candidates

The vetting currently happens through a small, dedicated staff interested in expanding our community. As the community expands, the number of staff involved in the process will naturally expand.

What Do I Get When I Publish?

You mean, besides the noteriety and another notch on your publication belt? Each published entry will receive 3-5 copies of Everybody's Baby (quantity depending on print run and length of piece). Beyond that, you will also get the opportunity to buy in to the print run at cost ($2.00-$3.00 per issue). These can be given away, or sold at the pre-determined price. And guess what, if you buy in, you get to keep the profits! It's a win-win situation, in our view. Everyone's work gets out into the community, and if profit happens on the side, even better.
